zach Blevins-Goad
Zach Blevins-Goad is a working artist who specializes in multiple disciplines of sculpture with a focus on nature, emotional connection, and the human form. With experience working with a variety of materials, such as wire, metal, natural found objects, and other sculpting mediums, he’s chosen to spend the last three years primarily working with ceramic clay to express formative experiences from his life through the lens of nature.

His work is done so in response to research that explores a timeline stretching from adolescence to adulthood, a narrative that touches on his perspective as a gay man growing up within Southwest Virginia and personifying a connection to nature.
Sharing work that documents these experiences were once rooted in shame but then made way to self-acceptance and grew a desire to reach others in similar circumstances of feeling isolated and to let them know they aren’t alone.
