Creating art has always been a part of my life. My father was a well-known artist in upstate New York and I began showing my work with him at the age of 12. I received a BA in fine art from Oswego State University of New York and have been a freelance artist ever since. One of the more exciting aspects of creating art to me is experimenting with new media and combining that with more familiar approaches. As a result, I am currently working in several media including mixed-media collage, monotypes, oil, oil & cold wax and most recently, acrylic batik. I have lived in the Roanoke area for more than 28 years. My husband and I enjoy hiking the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains and I draw inspiration them.
My work can be found in numerous regional shows, Cabell Gallery, Lexington, VA., Market Gallery, Roanoke, VA. and at my studio at Aurora Artisans, Aurora Studio Center, 110 Campbell Ave., SW Roanoke, Virginia.
