I make functional pottery out of a proto-porcelain that I’ve designed and make inhouse at the studio. I incorporate local raw materials which creates a unique chemistry between myself, the clay, and glaze; be it wood ash from the fireplace or rock dust from the quarry.

The work has evolved in many parallel paths some more dominate than others at times; routed in process/material, food, function/utility, culture and history with ergonomic pursuits and functional biases always in the background.
