The inspiration that drives most of my artwork first came from my fascination of nature and wildlife. Because of my love for all animals, my dream was to be a Veterinarian growing up. This is the reason you can find all kinds of critters and birds throughout my artwork.

I was classically trained at the School of the Worcester Art Museum located in Worcester, MA. and started my art career as a painter, using both oils and acrylic. My love of experimentation with different mediums led me to explore working with collage starting in 2008. The mixed media and collage technique I developed over the years, incorporates many pieces of different patterned papers on canvas to create truly unique artwork.

Throughout my art career, I have created my share of what I call “pretty pictures” of flowers, landscapes and animals; which are lovely to look at but do not raise awareness about social or environmental issues. I read somewhere recently that “not all art is inspired by beauty” and I totally agree.

During the pandemic, I started exploring hand cut traditional collage where you assemble different images from magazines and books to tell a story. Some of my results are surreal and fun, but most of all I find this technique to be the perfect medium to address my desire to bring awareness to social and environmental issues.

Moving from Venice, Fl. to Roanoke, VA late in 2022 has given me the opportunity to work in a much larger studio space and fulfill my most recent dream of creating on a much larger scale.
