Annie Schultz
My art experience started as a child, taking art lessons at the Roanoke Fine Arts Center. As an adult, I have been making art since the 1977, starting with stained glass, followed by 20 years as a potter making functional pottery. In recent years, I have been making paintings in water color, acrylic and oils.

Currently I am working mostly in oils but am starting to play with a variety of media. I am intrigued by the properties of color and how we use color in art to depict changes in light, shape, shadow and atmosphere. I always strive to continue learning new ways to use color to translate the emotional connection we all have with the visual world around us.
